When in the 3 adaptive bridge part, I try changing the rotation but nothing happens
Hey! Yes, that is correct; the rotation is already set by the 3 curves the 3 adaptive bridge cross-section follows. When you have just one curve, its possible to rotate it around the 1-adaptive point.
Hi, what is the Top level node?
Hey! Check out my updated version of this video. link in the description.
Can you make video for cricumferential bars detail
I do suggest watching my rebar video on free-form rebar! maybe it can be of help to create circumferential bars
Great information thank you and can you send the link for the AutoCAD file
Thank you! Send them where?
Thanks bro... But what about curved face
Thanks mate.. That is a challenge! Solution one is to create a family with an angle parameter. If the wall has a fixed curve, you can then adjust the family angle parameter so it would fit the wall. Solution two is to import the geometry into Revit adaptive family and create the carbon fiber wrap there with the help of Dynamo.
haha wo this is so cool, thx for making this
Thanks! And yeah, this is a cool family, and I had a lot of fun when making it.
It cuts no more than expected to be cutted, all the voids families works this way.
Thank you, Engineer, for this valuable information. Whenever I receive a notification for one of your videos about bridge works, I feel very happy because this content is not offered by many. Thank you for your support, and may God grant you more knowledge.
Thank you for this comment! Motivate me to keep making videos!
Great job !
Thank you !
Great tutorial. You mentioned about the paths being created in Autocad and Excel and to refer to the links. I believe the links attached don't show how you created the paths, which I'm very interested in. Also, have you worked with Civil 3D, exporting this type of information to create the paths?
Hey! I have added the links in the video now. I might have used the wrong word when I said I created the paths; rather, I got the paths in AutoCAD and Excel format and imported them to Dynamo and then Revit. Never worked with Civil 3D.
@@EngineerBear90 thanks for the prompt response and the updated links, it was the Autocad curve that I was interested in. Shame you haven't used C3D, as a workflow could be exporting a csv file of the paths (road centreline, kerb channels) and pulling this in to adaptive family using Dynamo. From there follow on what you have done above. Keep up the great work.
@@ahg3395 Thank you! Maybe someday in the future, I will learn it and make a video about it. Good luck with the path creation.
you are epic my friend, ive learnd so much from your tutorials. You are my favorit Revit UA-camr
Thank you! This comment is much appreciated, and I'm so happy to hear my tutorials are of some help.
Could you please show how to produce the detailing and bar bending schedule for freeform rebar? Thanks
Will write it up and make a video at some point!
Very interesting tutorial, but it is too fast, i couldn't figure out the used nodes, as a beginner with dynamo I prefer one by one style tutorials, very difficult for me to follow up a video like this. but I loved the video and watched it twice, I will follow all topics on this channel, very clear it is made by an expert, my greetings.
Thank you for the feedback! Will try to go a bit slower in my future videos. Did you manage to replicate the Dynamo script?
I will try that on Friday, my weekend here on Qatar, hoping to give feedback on a comment here.
@@AymenHumoodi Looking forward to your feedback! Enjoy your holiday in Qatar.
@@EngineerBear90 I did great job, did the script with some modifications that much simplified the script with no need for copy for each instance, just by some list manipulation. wonder how to share it with you.
@@AymenHumoodi Great to hear, and would love to see the modified script. You can add me on LinkedIn and send me a screenshot if you want. The linkedin link is on my channel.
nice work!
Thank you!
Very clear, Thank you
Thanks
Not sure if you're still active in these Bridge modelling videos. But from this video, the underside of the bridge is convex rather than concave. How can we address this?
You need to change the parameters in the Dynamo script to change the thickness of the bridge in the center bridge profile.
Its great
thank you
hello, i can"t find family type for the detail line !
Hey! The detail family is not a Revit standard family but a family I created before making this video. So if you want the detail item family, which in this case is a X you have to create the family yourself
Thanks. Learn many things from your video.
Awesome!
Nice work. However, in practical manner, the bridge segment may be rotated with crossfall/superelevation slope respected to control axis. Please you have further demo on the issues. Very thanks in advance.
Hello! and thank you. I do explain and show how to get a sloped box girder in the parametric box girder bridge with a 2D nested profile video
thanks😍
You are welcome 😄
Tus videos son muy interesantes. gracias
Gracias por el lindo comentario :)
very clear information👍
Happy to hear that! Thanks
Great video, as always! Question for you, have you ever created geotechnical prestressed anchores Revit family? Would be super awesome to share the knowledge 😊 Keep up with great and awesome work!
Thank you😊I have not created a geotechnical prestressed anchors Revit family! The closest must be my my Revit family masterclass - parametric steel core pile with if statement video. But send me an E-mail with the specifications and a data sheet of the product and I might make a video about it.
Thank you sir, it's very helpful
I am glad to hear that:)
Thanks. It helps a lot. Btw can you make a video about creating a Hollowcore slab as a slab not as a beam. What i mean is, shafts can make opening thru them easily as normal slabs.
Thank you very much.
You are welcome.
Sir can you make video on it with line base family for secant pile with coping beam 10m to 20m long length plz
Hey! I have made a line-based family with array. Check out my video: Revit family masterclass - parametric steel sheet pile with a nested component
Please make a Grid & level from Dynamo next time sir. Thank you 🙏
Do you have dynamo online class?
Not at the moment! but maybe I will create something in the future.
@@EngineerBear90 thank in advance 🙏🙏
Thank you for sharing ❤
can you please share the family
Send me a mail and I can send it to you!
Greetings 🙏 I'm from Cambodia Can you please make vdo about dynamo Revit Structure. Thank in advance ❤
Hey! Do you have any specific task in mind?
Bravo! EB Thanks again for another very insightful lesson. I think I am starting to see how a workflow for bridge modelling in particular will look like using Revit and Dynamo. This is something that was previously mystified for me.
Hello EL! Thank you! So cool to hear that you are starting to get a grasp of the workflow for bridge modelling! Feel free to send me the Revit file of your bridge on mail, would love to see!
@@EngineerBear90 I will do that soon.
i need this Dynamo script Can you please share
Hello! I have not shared the script anywhere! The whole script is shown at the end of this video and should be easy to replicate.Let me know how it turns out.

@@shakeebuddin-m5x Its not working? You could change the coordinates in excel to local cordinates before loading them in.
If a leg value is zero feet , I want that box to be blank space in bbs instead of 0' 0" , how to do this
There is a workaround. 1.Create a new Blank calculated value, with the same unit as the parameter that you want to change. 2. Create another calculated value containing an if formula, see the example below. if(numeric value>0,numeric value, name of the blank parameter)
@@EngineerBear90 thank you for a reply, I tried but it's shows inconsistent units. I use same unit for all leg value
@@udayyakshvin6121 Well, then it is not the same unit! I tried it earlier I did get it to work, had some trouble with the units but did put length and everything worked fine.
@@EngineerBear90 Could you make a video if possible
@@udayyakshvin6121 Dont have any plans on making a video like that at the moment! but you can send me your project and I could take a look at it. Just go to my website and send me an E-mail.
Please make video for circumferential rebar in revit
I will post a free form rebar tutorial on monday! Maybe that will be of help
Nice! :) Unfortunately varying rebar is working fine only for planar faces. If you try to do it in bridge vertical curve it is impossible...
Thanks! Yeah! But maybe my next rebar video where I explain free form rebar tool will be of more help with your curved bridge.
thanks
you're welcome
I tried to cut the mullions of curtain wall but it can't work
Yee, does not work on that!
Excelent! i would like to know if theres a way to add a rotation , that is specified in the excel sheet as well
Hey! Iam going to create a video that will explain how to add rotation to the families.
Hi, like the script but this doesn't bring across my survey point coordinate system, just the local coordinates... Any idea why this may be the case...
Hi. Try to set the coordinate system to survey point, showed on 5:27.
Hi EB. I'm glad to hear that in addition to showing us how to create custom parametric bridge components you are also planning to show us how to bring them together in the project environment as a complete bridge. I am looking forward to this the most. These videos have been very insightful. Thanks you very much!
HI EL. Great to hear my videos have helped and been insightful for you! Much appreciated the good feedback and the kind words.
can it cut nest family?
Hi! It do appear that it have some problems cutting nested families! I would put the void innside the family itself if needed.
good!!
Thank you!
Excellent tutorial. But in my dynamo I didn't find the formula node... Is it a plug-in?
I noticed that the formula node has been removed in the newer versions of Revit! go to the library -> math -> operators and select the node that will work for you. Or you could use a code block node.
@@EngineerBear90 tks!!!
Good evening, congratulations on the channel, can you tell me which package the toposolid is in? Could you make the package available through a link
Thank you! No package is needed to create this script.
@@EngineerBear90 Why can't I find the "toposolid.bypointstypeandlevel" node? When I look for it in the bookstore like you do in the video in 3:05 minutes, could you forward me your package folder and the dynamo folder?
@@TiagoCardosodosSantos-h7q What version of Revit are you using? This is a new node. Should be under Revit and then elements on left side menu. Can also try to search for just Toposolid.

Hehe! Thank you 😀
perfect tutorial for BIM lovers thanks... But there is no script in description may you share drive link for it?
